SOUTH SIOUX CITY, Neb.
A northeast Nebraska renewable power plant is suspending production so it may make repairs that its proprietor hopes will remedy ongoing discharge and odor points.
Massive Ox Power spokesman Kevin Bradley informed the Sioux City Journal that it will not be accepting truckloads of organic waste from clients and will wind down operations until early subsequent month.
Bradley says the extent of injury and crucial repairs will decide how long production shall be halted. Bradley say the injury has occurred since Massive Ox began operations in September 2016.
Earlier this month Nebraska officials cited Huge Ox for failing to regulate emissions. Inspectors had observed fuel leaking from a broken anaerobic digester construction. The plant has been underneath scrutiny since neighbors complained concerning the plant’s odor.
